Merry Christmas Everyone

Having a funtime getting ready for Christmas.My parents etc are coming for Christmas. Always special time. On December 7th , we had all of Corky's family here.What a special blessing that was.Went Friday night to see Cody's last soccer game. Was fun watching them little ones. They just all run and follow the ball. Even if it goes off the field , they follow. Then they look up to see if you are watching and wave and keep on running. Then Kim sent us a video of Cody's Christmas program. Such memories. It has been cold and frosty. Like that better than the heat and humidity.Wish everyone a Blessed Christmas. Happy Birthday, Jesus. I Made it......

I seem to shy away from long motorcycle rides with Corky because my rear-end does not like it at all. I decided to be brave and go along with him to Solvang. We went along with the Motorcycle Fellowship at Church. We had a wonderful time and the weather and all cooperated.They stopped every hour or so which helped out alot. Towards the end though after about 10 hours I was almost ready to walk. I tried to post pictures but something is not working. We went along 101 and then thru Santa Barbara and 126. So now back to reality and work and getting things done around here. Love to all.

Its a blustery day

Wow are the winds blowing! Makes for alot of sneezing and always can tell when its going to be santa anas at work. The kids are just wild and loud and it causes build-up of ear wax big time.We always hate when the winds come.Nothing much else going on. Just been trying to clean and get some things done around here. Keep Chris in your prayers while he is undergoing the needle biopsy of his lymph node in his throat.Ask God's healing hands on him so their is nothing wrong. Also Corky got a phone call from his middle daughter of previous marriage. Has not heard from them in 15 years or so. Their choice.His youngest from that marriage and her son of 5 years old are going thru chemo and blood transfusions for the 2nd time for hodgkins and luekemia. Lift them up in prayer and ask for God's healing hands on them.God Bless your day.

Fall.....

It is way cooler this morning.I just love that. Work has been going ok. Have some really hard days but don't we all. Corky has been keeping busy at work. Hopefully the place doesn't close down. Business is so slow just like everywhere. The motorcycle ministry is planning a bike run to Solvang. I am trying to decide whether to ride along. I or rather my lower end does not do well after about an hour into the ride so I do not go along very much. Wished I could find a butt helper thing to sit on. Haha. God Bless your day.

Ready For Fall

It was way cooler...but the heat came back.The wind was blowing today.Reminded me of the Winnie the Pooh movies. Except it wasn't blustery out.Work has been ok. Our lunch count is way lower so far. They said because their are way less kids enrolled. So we are keeping our fingers crossed we don't lose hours.Not much else going on.God Bless.

Back to Work.......

We had such a wonderful time in Williams,Arizona on the train ride to the Grand Canyon. So relaxing and beautiful to see.Then we hitched a ride on the plane to Idaho and seen a friend we have always called mom. She is 84 and not doing to good. Was wonderful to see her. In spite of the long wait between flights.Now it is back to work. The new school year starts.I was water baptised the night before we left. We have so many Blessings in our life.God Bless your Day and Always.

Is it Cooler yet?

Have been cleaning a couple of rooms at a time( the carpet that is).I finally replanted the tomato plants into the ground. They just did not do good in the pots.Of course with the heat they looked pretty sick for a week.The strawberries never even came up.Oh well I will just buy them in the store.Mom and dad made it home. Dad was sick first on the trip and then mom got sick.So they headed home. Mom sounds pretty tough. Told her it was time to see the doc.Kim and Chris are on a short trip to Laughlin.Going to watch the grandkids this week for a bit. Can't wait.Always have a blast watching them.Sat. is a car show up in the mountains. So we plan on going.As always, Love to all.

Cooler weather ..Please!!!!

At this point I am ready for cooler weather. Made it through Summer School. The day of the earthquake was traumatic for the kids at school.They were all running and screaming. Then the parents came swarming on campus to pick them up. I think they made the kids more scared.So now I have to get some things done around here before September rolls around. Looking forward to the train ride we have scheduled. Hoping the airlines don't mess with the plane tickets anymore.It was supposed to be 4 hour trip to Idaho and now is 8 hour plus trip. I guess we can checkout the airport huh.Love to all.

Humidity Stinks

I hate this humidity. Been working summer school and since it works better to serve all the kids outside, that is where we are.Almost feel like taking a hose and pouring it on your head. Been watching the grandsons here and there so Kim can have a break. Chris has been to Utah for school and she needs a break every once in awhile. He comes home today and he did very well in school. Corky got something in his eye the other day at work and he had to have the doc roto grind or something it out. Looks awful but thank goodness it is out. Mom and dad made it to Minnesota ok. Always worry about them driving so far. But dad just loves that.Corky was water baptized the other night.They are going to do another next month so I am going to be then.What a Blessing.May God bless your day.

Summer school

We started summer school session on Monday.Very chaotic first 2 days.I could not get in the kitchen to cook the pizzas and bake the cookies etc for jr. high. Finally the janitor got me in. The keys were all wrong and also the ovens and water were all turned off.Then when we are done there we need to drive to elementary school and feed them kids. All the tags were messed up from computer glitch there. So all the kids, I kept asking for money, were glaring at me because they were supposed to get the lunch free.So needless to say everyone ..almost300..got free lunch because of the mess. Next day was a bit better.The next 3 weeks ought to just seem like a breeze.We are watching the grandsons overnight. Should be a blast.Oh.. my dad,Case, had some more testing done. Seemed just like it was his gallbladder acting up all the time. The doc did a test where he swallowed a camera and they found a polyp in his stomach. So they removed it. Sent it for testing and now when they get back from there little trip to the midwest hopefully the doc has some answers. He is on strict diet. Jello and no coffee,no citrus etc. He gets very sick if he eats certain things. Please Pray they find out what is going on.God Bless Your Day.

Our Anniversary

Today is our 36th anniversary. The years have flown by.We thank God for all our blessings. Next week I start summer school. Work for the month of July.Then off in August and school year starts in September. I was very disapointed in the bag for growing my tomatoes. I finally had 7 plants to put in and the day after I had them in the bag they all died. So I bought plants already to go and getting tomatoes and also am growing cucumbers in a pot. Have several 3 inch ones already. We went to watch Cody do his gymnastics tumbling show on Friday evening. Was so cute to watch.Then after we all went to have ice cream. yumm. Corky finally had his eyes looked at. He kept seeing black spot. Seems he has several floaters in both eyes. But he got chewed out by the doc. He said if you notice that, you need to come in right away because it can pull away from your retina and then its not an easy fix.. He noticed this for about year now. Taking a Floating Holiday

Taking my floating holiday today. Next week is last day of school. Hoping I can work summer school. Have not been notified yet.My arms hurt really bad again. My boss is on a cleaning the dumb pans kick.With a metal toothbrush. Not very much fun.After being impatient for my tomato seeds to sprout I finally got some different seed. Now after 3 weeks or so I have the new seeds coming up and it seems the other seeds decided to come up also. Good grief.I just got to plant the strawberry seeds. As they had to be cooled off in the refrig for 3 weeks. See what happens with them.We scheduled a train ride from Williams ,Arizona into the Grand Canyon. Weird weather

So glad it has cooled down.Was so hot here for several days. Now they say rain.It has been very trying at work with my boss.I love my job feeding the kids but my boss has a attitude like its all about me.Very self-centered person.I just continue to work hard.Corky has off Friday and Monday. So I have compiled a to-do list. Aren't I nice?I finally received my hanging tomato and strawberry kits but so far the things haven't sprouted. The strawberry seeds I had to put in the refrig for 3 weeks first. I am almost ready to buy little tomato plants and put in the bag to see if that works.Is that cheating.??We helped celebrate Casey's first birthday over past weekend.We had fun in spite of the heat.He walks all over.Them grandsons are so precious.Love to all.Corky and Kay.

Hmmmmm

Well, it has been chilly and gloomy around here.Supposed to change.I was told at work that they are watching me. I said go right ahead.I know in my heart when I go to work... I work.Now they said they were not taking any hours away.All was ok.Hmmmm...We have been enjoying the spa the lady gave us.Easy to take care of.I have been cutting off the old blooms from the geraniums. Today after work I need to trim more and clean the mess up.I am waiting patiently for my hanging strawberry and tomato kits.Supposed to grow upside down in a tube.I once grew peanuts just to see if it would work. Thank you from my dad, Case

Thanks everyone for all your prayers and wishes of better health for me while I was undergoing testing to see why I was so dizzy and just feeling terrible.Praise God for the excellent report from the doctors.I just need to not take any meds that have the statins in for cholestorol anymore.May God Bless everyone.Case

Update on my dad, Case

My dad went to the Heart specialist and got his results. Wonderful news. There is nothing wrong except for a couple tiny leaky valves. He has been taking statins for cholestorol. My dad stopped taking them about 3 weeks back and he is feeling much better. The doc said to stop taking them altogether. My dad had trouble with them before as they made his muscles in his legs hurt really bad. So he can't take them at all. Like he is allergic or has reaction to them. And the mri and brain scan showed no parkinsons. Such Wonderful news.Just a huge Blessing from God. My dad was worried they were going to take his drivers license. That is his lifeline. He loves to drive.And mom thought ,what am I going to do with dad pouting he can't drive. Love to all. Love Corky and Kay

It has been way to hot here. Makes for a grumpy gramma.We went and helped Kim and Chris one day this past weekend clear the needles from there yard. It was way cooler at there house.A kind lady down the street here decided she did not want her spa so she gave it to us. So we are going to set it up tonight. Corky detailed and claywaxed a friends car and motorcycle over the last week. He really enjoys detailing bikes. He is possibly going to try and do that for money after he retires from where he is at.I heard it was snowing in Minnesota and South Dakota by my brothers.Sounds good to me right now. Case and Albertha are my mom and dad.Corky is a mechanic/truck driver/detailer/grandpa.He enjoys the grandpa part the most.I work in the school cafeteria.I enjoy being a gramma the most.Kim and Chris have blessed us with two wonderful grandsons, Cody and Casey.We have so much fun with them.Love to all.
