Countdown......

We are getting anxious to drive up to see the kids next weekend. Be fun to watch them open their gifts etc. Then back home to get the Christmas meal ready for my mom and dad and my brother and family on Christmas Day. We got our lights up outside. We didn't put up as many since I still have no idea what happened.... but their I went... fell splat on the cement. Corky was on the ladder and heard this thud and seen me. But I am ok just hurt on my shoulder and ankles and wrist and ok just a big klutz I am. I am alive though which is the best thing so I can see my grandkids.. i have off 2 weeks at school. Which I am looking forward to very much. Mom and dad are doing ok. Kim and Chris are doing good. Chris has lots of after hours calls which keeps him pretty tuckered out. Them little grandkids are keeping them busy. Hahahahaah. Thats what kids are for right. Been really hot here 80 plus. Suppose to cool down. Hope so IT is supposed to be colder around Christmas. Corkys grandson is back home from the hospital again. He got some bug so had to be in isolation until his count went back up. His daughter is doing good. We want to wish everyone a Blessed Christmas Holiday.

Nice drizzle.......

Just enough to make it wet and cooler. Yes........ Corky made it thru 2 weekends of getting up earlier than the sun. Saturday he was up before 3 to go help setup for the mens conference at irvine. The motorcycle fellowship was in charge of feeding the guys from our church. He came home tired and a bit anxious. Our pastor suffered memory loss a few years back and while he was speaking they could tell it was happening again. So they took him off to the hospital and the leader of kids ministry and also the leader of the motorcycle fellowship drove off to pray for the pastor at the hospital and got hit by a car. He was ok but his motorcycle was totaled. Keep our pastor in prayer. Mom and dad are doing pretty good. They managed a drive to the coast to get out of the house. Dad got a prescription to do therapy for his knee. Mom goes back in month to do biopsy of the upper portion of the spot of melanoma was taken off on her face. Make sure they got it all. The person who read the biopsy before was not sure if they got it all. Kim and Chris are doing good. Busy with the boys sports and school trips etc. Corkys grandson in Texas is having a tough time of it. He finished one phase of treatment and then was on his way for brief respite from it all and got really sick with pneumonia. So back to icu. His daughter is having hard time most days. She had breast reduction and the tissue they took off had cancer in it. So they have to see if more needs to be done. Keep lifting all in prayer. Have a Blessed Day.

good grief... It turned hot again.....

Just was so nice the cooler weather. Then it got hot. Was 100 again yesterday. Corky went on the motorcycle ride to Solvang by himself. I decided to not go this time. They still had I think he said 13 bikes. We are doing ok. Mom is doing ok and she still has the patches on her face that are slowly falling off by themselves. Dad underwent another sleep apnea test. He has seen a lung doctor. He really isnt getting any better. Has hard time to breathe. The lung doctor gave him a pill to take and a thing to puff on once a day. But it does not seem to help. The doc thought he has chronic lung. Keep them both in prayer as i am sure it is not good feeling to not be able to get a breathe of air. Kim and Chris are doing ok. Miss them little sweet potaters so i call them little grandkids. Miss Kim and Chris to. Corky will get up and say lets just get in the car and drive up there. Such a grandpa he is. Work is ok. Try not to let the things get to me. Have a blessed day.

Getting cooler.....

Starting to feel like its getting cooler. Love that. Work is ok. Our lunch count is way lower again. There are 200 less kids in school. Noone is having babies it seems in the higher end communities. So we have heard thru the grapevine that at school year end that they will probaly close the school where I work. We used to have close to 500 kids go thru the lunchline but now we are lucky if we have 250. Anyways if you have high senority you can bump people out of there position in another school. Which i would not like to do but I really do need my job. Mom is doing ok after her surgery. Dad is having hard time to breathe. Keep them in prayer. Kim and Chris are doing good. We went to dermatologist appointment last night. So I look like rudolph right now and will possibly scare the kids at lunchtime. Everything that was burned off was on my face. Corky had all these on top of his head again. Poor guy. But it is better to have things taken off than be sorry later. Mert and Lin are coming out this next weekend. Fun to see them again. Have a Blessed Day.

To Hot..........

It's been awhile since I wrote anything. We had a few busy things going on. The Thibodeaux gettogether was fun and the party for the grandkids was great. Always fun to watch the kids have so much fun. We watched the boys for a week. What a funtime. Finally got the garage all emptied out on the one side of the cupboards etc. I don't think the trashmen liked it to well. Funny how much you accumulate over time and never touch it. Now we have the boards purchased for the front of house. We were going to replace the big huge beam... but since found out that it does not support anything out there and it just keeps rotting away so we are just going to cut all the wood out and put in new face boards and restucco the wall. should look really different. We have been having issues with our phone. They say now its fixed again. hmmmmm. I go back to work next week. Not really in the mood. But oh well. That's life. Kim and Chris are moving into a house. Keep them in prayer for this to go smoothly and soon will be able to find a house of their own to purchase. At least they ..for now ...will have a bigger place to move around in. Keep mom in your prayers as she has surgery on her face for melanoma. She had other spot dug out but now this. Keep dad in your prayers also. They did a sleep apnea test on him. They are still digging to find answers for some medical issues. Ryan..Corky's grandson in texas has not been able to have his chemo etc. His immune system is so low. So he then has to be in isolation until it gets built back up. Can't even imagine what that child must endure all the time..Have a Blessed day.

Yesss..............

We have been busy putting up the shed. Corky got help which thankfully he did. Goodness I could never have lifted them sides and floor with him. It is a 10 by 10 barn with loft. We painted it the same as our house. Corky made shelves along 2 sides and then of course he had to have a porch light so he took one of them solar planter lights and cut off the bottom and screwed it up on the side. Looks cute. Now he is painting the shelves and floor. I dug out all the flowerbeds in the back and we wheelbarrowed in 2 truckloads of dirt to refill what I have thrown away while weeding. Who knew i threw away all that dirt. Hahahahaha. Got all the new plants in. Looks nice. 9 days left of work and then hope I get summer school. Glad to get a break from the old witch at work. Not nice am I. She probably thinks the same of me. Keep mom and dad in your prayers as they think they seen something in one of dads lungs and also he keeps having terrible attacks like the gallbladder thing and so he possibly has made another stone in his duct. Mom is doing better since her cataracts have been done. Dad said he has to keep eye on her because she looks so young without her glasses. Kim and Chris are packing stuff and bringing it up to Redding this week. Keep them in prayer.Hopefully God has it in his plans for them to sell or rent their house here. Ryan is hanging in there. They gave him meds before treatment this time and he didn't run the fevers etc but his resistance went so low he had to be isolated for a bit. I go back to vascular surgeon next couple weeks to check my blood clot..Still black and blue along the vein. Also keep Mert in prayer as he is gradually gaining strength back in his hand. Keep Bev in prayer as she works with the doctors on getting her meds correct. Thank goodness it was not a stroke she had. Have a Blessed day.
