Countdown......

We are getting anxious to drive up to see the kids next weekend. Be fun to watch them open their gifts etc. Then back home to get the Christmas meal ready for my mom and dad and my brother and family on Christmas Day. We got our lights up outside. We didn't put up as many since I still have no idea what happened.... but their I went... fell splat on the cement. Corky was on the ladder and heard this thud and seen me. But I am ok just hurt on my shoulder and ankles and wrist and ok just a big klutz I am. I am alive though which is the best thing so I can see my grandkids.. i have off 2 weeks at school. Which I am looking forward to very much. Mom and dad are doing ok. Kim and Chris are doing good. Chris has lots of after hours calls which keeps him pretty tuckered out. Them little grandkids are keeping them busy. Hahahahaah. Thats what kids are for right. Been really hot here 80 plus. Suppose to cool down. Hope so IT is supposed to be colder around Christmas. Corkys grandson is back home from the hospital again. He got some bug so had to be in isolation until his count went back up. His daughter is doing good. We want to wish everyone a Blessed Christmas Holiday.

Kim and Chris are doing good. We are driving up to my brother for Thanksgiving. Mom and dad will be there along with Johns kids and Kim and Chris with them little sweet potaters. Sure miss them big grins. We will drive up to Kim and Chris week before Christmas and then Christmas I will have here. So the Holidays are busy. Corkys grandson in Texas is doing pretty good. Nice drizzle.......

Just enough to make it wet and cooler. Yes........ Corky made it thru 2 weekends of getting up earlier than the sun. Saturday he was up before 3 to go help setup for the mens conference at irvine. The motorcycle fellowship was in charge of feeding the guys from our church. He came home tired and a bit anxious. Our pastor suffered memory loss a few years back and while he was speaking they could tell it was happening again. So they took him off to the hospital and the leader of kids ministry and also the leader of the motorcycle fellowship drove off to pray for the pastor at the hospital and got hit by a car. He was ok but his motorcycle was totaled. Keep our pastor in prayer. Mom and dad are doing pretty good. They managed a drive to the coast to get out of the house. Dad got a prescription to do therapy for his knee. Mom goes back in month to do biopsy of the upper portion of the spot of melanoma was taken off on her face. Make sure they got it all. The person who read the biopsy before was not sure if they got it all. Kim and Chris are doing good. Busy with the boys sports and school trips etc. Corkys grandson in Texas is having a tough time of it. He finished one phase of treatment and then was on his way for brief respite from it all and got really sick with pneumonia. So back to icu. His daughter is having hard time most days. She had breast reduction and the tissue they took off had cancer in it. So they have to see if more needs to be done. Keep lifting all in prayer. Have a Blessed Day.

good grief... It turned hot again.....

Just was so nice the cooler weather. Then it got hot. Was 100 again yesterday. Corky went on the motorcycle ride to Solvang by himself. I decided to not go this time. They still had I think he said 13 bikes. We are doing ok. Mom is doing ok and she still has the patches on her face that are slowly falling off by themselves. Dad underwent another sleep apnea test. He has seen a lung doctor. He really isnt getting any better. Has hard time to breathe. The lung doctor gave him a pill to take and a thing to puff on once a day. But it does not seem to help. The doc thought he has chronic lung. Keep them both in prayer as i am sure it is not good feeling to not be able to get a breathe of air. Kim and Chris are doing ok. Miss them little sweet potaters so i call them little grandkids. Miss Kim and Chris to. Corky will get up and say lets just get in the car and drive up there. Such a grandpa he is. Work is ok. Try not to let the things get to me. Have a blessed day.

Getting cooler.....

Starting to feel like its getting cooler. Love that. Work is ok. Our lunch count is way lower again. There are 200 less kids in school. Noone is having babies it seems in the higher end communities. So we have heard thru the grapevine that at school year end that they will probaly close the school where I work. We used to have close to 500 kids go thru the lunchline but now we are lucky if we have 250. Anyways if you have high senority you can bump people out of there position in another school. Which i would not like to do but I really do need my job. Mom is doing ok after her surgery. Dad is having hard time to breathe. Keep them in prayer. Kim and Chris are doing good. We went to dermatologist appointment last night. So I look like rudolph right now and will possibly scare the kids at lunchtime. Everything that was burned off was on my face. Corky had all these on top of his head again. Poor guy. But it is better to have things taken off than be sorry later. Mert and Lin are coming out this next weekend. Fun to see them again. Have a Blessed Day.

To Hot..........

It's been awhile since I wrote anything. We had a few busy things going on. The Thibodeaux gettogether was fun and the party for the grandkids was great. Always fun to watch the kids have so much fun. We watched the boys for a week. What a funtime. Finally got the garage all emptied out on the one side of the cupboards etc. I don't think the trashmen liked it to well. Funny how much you accumulate over time and never touch it. Now we have the boards purchased for the front of house. We were going to replace the big huge beam... but since found out that it does not support anything out there and it just keeps rotting away so we are just going to cut all the wood out and put in new face boards and restucco the wall. should look really different. We have been having issues with our phone. They say now its fixed again. hmmmmm. I go back to work next week. Not really in the mood. But oh well. That's life. Kim and Chris are moving into a house. Keep them in prayer for this to go smoothly and soon will be able to find a house of their own to purchase. At least they ..for now ...will have a bigger place to move around in. Keep mom in your prayers as she has surgery on her face for melanoma. She had other spot dug out but now this. Keep dad in your prayers also. They did a sleep apnea test on him. They are still digging to find answers for some medical issues. Ryan..Corky's grandson in texas has not been able to have his chemo etc. His immune system is so low. So he then has to be in isolation until it gets built back up. Can't even imagine what that child must endure all the time..Have a Blessed day.

Yesss..............

We have been busy putting up the shed. Corky got help which thankfully he did. Goodness I could never have lifted them sides and floor with him. It is a 10 by 10 barn with loft. We painted it the same as our house. Corky made shelves along 2 sides and then of course he had to have a porch light so he took one of them solar planter lights and cut off the bottom and screwed it up on the side. Looks cute. Now he is painting the shelves and floor. I dug out all the flowerbeds in the back and we wheelbarrowed in 2 truckloads of dirt to refill what I have thrown away while weeding. Who knew i threw away all that dirt. Hahahahaha. Got all the new plants in. Looks nice. 9 days left of work and then hope I get summer school. Glad to get a break from the old witch at work. Not nice am I. She probably thinks the same of me. Keep mom and dad in your prayers as they think they seen something in one of dads lungs and also he keeps having terrible attacks like the gallbladder thing and so he possibly has made another stone in his duct. Mom is doing better since her cataracts have been done. Dad said he has to keep eye on her because she looks so young without her glasses. Kim and Chris are packing stuff and bringing it up to Redding this week. Keep them in prayer.Hopefully God has it in his plans for them to sell or rent their house here. Ryan is hanging in there. They gave him meds before treatment this time and he didn't run the fevers etc but his resistance went so low he had to be isolated for a bit. I go back to vascular surgeon next couple weeks to check my blood clot..Still black and blue along the vein. Also keep Mert in prayer as he is gradually gaining strength back in his hand. Keep Bev in prayer as she works with the doctors on getting her meds correct. Thank goodness it was not a stroke she had. Have a Blessed day.

Keeping busy.......

Can not believe it is May already. Almost the end of the school year. Our count is still going down. The kindergarten enrollment is down more than it was last year. Now also the gov't saying to much salt in the diet...the parents are coming in and asking about the food. I signed up for summer school but have to see if I get it yet. The program is cut way back because of finances so mostly the managers are going to do the work. My blood clot turned out to be many of them in my varicose vein. The clots plugged off the vein in various places. It will be a month or so for it to quit being hard and hurting. I am allergic to motrin etc. so i am trying a baby aspirin to see if that helps. Right now it is all black and blue along the vein.. Go back to vascular surgeon in a couple weeks to check the progress. Thank goodness it was not in my deep veins. That is very dangerous. Mom turned out good so far with her cataracts being done. Dad had scan done of his lungs etc to see why he is so short winded etc. find out the results end of month. Corkys grandson is mostly in emergency room with the high fevers etc. He needed platelets etc to try and get his risk of infection or his odds way better of not getting infection. his count was 5 and the normal is above 1500 I think if I remember correctly. Lift him up in prayer. Kim and family are trying to get things in motion for moving to redding.. Keep them in prayer. Corky has been busy trying to get foundation done for the shed he bought. Then he needs to get it built. I have been trying to dig out the bushes from the back. They were not coming back well from my trimming. They are really getting old or I trimmed the heck out them and they said no I am not coming back if you keep doing that to me. Oh well.. Seems always something needs to be fixed. Hope all is well. Have a Blessed day.

Just taking it easy........

We have been getting rain here and there. Love the rain. Kim and Chris are trying to rent there house here so they can move up to Redding. Mom and dad are doing pretty good. Mom had one cataract done and is waiting to get the other done. Dad has been having them sharp pains again. So to just convince him to go in. Corkys daughter Nicki and grandson Ryan are having rough time. Ryan has not been able to start the rounds of new treatment because he keeps having high fever etc. They think it might be virus. Corky is doing good. Been eating mostly veggies and fresh fruit so it has helped get his Aic down for his diabetes. I was in emergency room other night till 3 in the morning. I had a blood clot above my knee. Sure don't feel good. Go to the vascular surgeon on Friday to see what they want to do.So other than that we are hanging in there. Hope everyone is good. Have a Blessed Day.

Ohhhhhhhhh............

One of the baby hummingbirds got into the garage and in the rafters and couldnt find its way out. The mama kept calling it from the tree and the baby would answer but it just couldnt get out. That made me sad. Poor baby. Kim and the kids made it home safely. Long trip by herself. I called mom and dads biopsy of his esopgagus was ok. He has to watch his diet more closely. Mom is getting better. They both had caught a nasty cold or flu and of course that affects moms vertigo. The motorcycle ride went ok. Long day on my behind. It was numb down there for 3 days. Santa Barbara was really nice. The traffic coming home though was awful on the freeway. I hate bumper to bumper in a car much less than on a motorcycle. The floorboard in the car probably is close to being pushed out from me but what do you push on a bike.? So I just watched the back of his helmet. Oh well. Work is going fairly well. Got yelled at yesterday by a man who was doing a presentation for history in the multipurpose room. I was making to much noise doing the dishes. Who knew?????? You have to go like crazy to get done in a certain amount of time alloted and so you start slinging them pans right?? Hahahahaha. Have a Blessed Day.

Ready to leave the nest.....

I just love watching them baby hummingbirds. I just wonder how they stay in that little walnut size nest. They are sticking way above the top and flutter their wings. Just love that. My boss was off for few days. So I dealt with a sub. Was really nice to work with someone pleasant. I am still trying to get my back and hips feeling ok. Sure takes awhile . We are watching Kim's dogs for this week while she is up in Redding by Chris. I found some different molds for candy so will try my luck at that.. We are going to go on a ride with the Motorcycle Fellowship from Church on saturday to Santa Barbara. Should be a nice ride. Long but nice.See how my behind feels after....Have a Blessed day.

Hummingbirds.......

The little babies have hatched. How fun it is to watch the mama feeding them. She is so busy. I am trying to nurse my hip back . It went out on Monday. Starting to feel better. Of course the bosses are not pleased I am off yesterday and today. My dad had a biopsy done in his esophagus and they took 2 polyps out of his stomach. Should find out in couple weeks the results. He has been having that bile come up again at night. Mom is slowly recovering from another thing of vertigo. Keep them in your prayers. Our trip went ok. Was a Blessing to meet Ryan and to see Nicki again after 26 years. Keep them in prayers as Ryan is going to be going thru extensive treatment for cancer. It is in his bone marrow now. Have a Blessed day.

Its beautiful...........

All the rain ...its just something how everything is so green. We have been just enjoying it. Corky managed to get the weeds pulled out in back flowerbeds in between rainstorms. They really get out of control. We both had nice birthdays and this saturday are going to try and drive down to Palm Springs to see a car show his brother is in. It was nice to have a week free from my boss. She had to take her furlough days. I am done with the tax stuff. I figured out why we have to pay. Remember the great stimulous thing where they took less taxes out of your paycheck.Hmmmmm. Well now we all have to pay it back. Plus they are giving us a penalty for not paying enough. What a crock. We have this hummingbird right outside the window. Just sits on that nest whether its pouring rain or blowing like crazy. What a mom. Just the cutest thing to watch. Little nest is size of walnut shell. Kim is up in Redding right now with the boys . We miss them lots. Anyways have a Blessed Day.

Have to learn to swim.....

We have had so much rain the last week and more is coming tomorrow. I think right here this week we had 6 inches. We need it very badly. Amazes me the tumbleweeds right by work are dead it looks like and just a bit of rain and they turn green. I hate tumbleweeds and loose dogs. They always come at me. I have to call tonight after 6 to see if I still go to jury duty tomorrow. We were just laughing at Christmas about how I havent gotten any notices for awhile and next day one came in the mail. Have to keep my mouth shut. I have been trying to finish up the taxes stuff. Just plain gives me a headache. Kim and Chris got so much snow from this system. goodness they had lots to scoop. He is supposed to be up to Redding to start his job there. I think Kim said they should be able to manuever out tomorrow. People here in southern Ca. when they see snow on them there hills get a hitch to go play in the snow. They had to close roads because of so many people trying to get up there. So therefore Kim and Chris can not even get out of there driveway from all the people and cars.Funny but not for them putting up with all the ..... Have a Blessed Day.

Been feeling like its time to get out of dodge.....

So many things to get accomplished and feeling like not enough hours. Have to study for a test for work. They keep changing the rules so its hard to remember all the things. Work is not good. The other day I was so pissed but hey I made it thru the day. My boss gets on these kicks and I take the brunt of it all. She decided I needed to get on my hands and knees and crawl under the sink and scrub the walls. If you say no you are fired. Mind you I looked up my job description and what I was doing is under the janitors list. Mine is serving the kids food and helping with the prep. The tax situation looks dire this year. Not in good mood about that. We got plane tickets to fly into Houston to see Corkys daughter and grandson. Keep us in prayer.Saturday is my birthday. We were going to go on a motorcycle ride with the Motorcycle fellowship but the weather is not looking good . Kim had gotten reservation for me and her to take a wilton cake decorating class but now since Chris job situation came up we were trying to do one day candy class instead. So unless the lady cancels the class we are going to try and do that Saturday. Have a Blessed Day.

Back to work....

Well I have to go back to work.....thankful I have a job. We had a very nice time for Christmas and New Years. Hope everyone had a great and Blessed time. Corky was surprised by a package from his youngest from a previous marriage on Christmas night. Have not seen her in I think 20 something years. Not our choice. She and her son are battling cancer. He is 6 and half. We are planning a flight out to Houston soon to see them. Corky is being very cautious because he is so very, very tired of being hurt. The whole thing is just overwhelming to us.Kim and Chris are dealing with Chris got a job up in Redding with the railroad. They have not been able to sell their house for quite some time. so Kim will have to stay here while he is up there. So that will be a challenge for them both and the kids. So we are asking for prayers being lifted up for God's hand being on all of us as we deal with all these things. Surround us all with loving arms of protection.God will not let us endure more than we can bare. That is His promise. We know it is true from all the recent things we have endured with our youngest daughter Kristi. Just ask and He will help you thru.Blessings to all.
